Who's who
"Oche" (the app, the service, the website) is operated by Luis Montana, a sole trader registered in the United Kingdom. "You" is the person using the app or the site. By installing Oche, creating an account, or using ocheapp.com you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Using Oche
Oche is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use under Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement for App Store apps. You may not reverse-engineer it, redistribute it, or wrap it inside another product without written permission.
Don't be a nuisance to other players. Specifically:
- Don't impersonate other people.
- Don't use display names or avatars that target a person, group, or protected characteristic.
- Don't try to break, exploit, or scrape the multiplayer service.
- Don't cheat — fabricating throws, scripting opponents, or manipulating ELO ruins the ladder for everyone.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that do these things. We'll tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to that email.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. If you suspect someone's used your account, email oche_app@pm.me and we'll help. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account.
Pro purchase
Oche Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. The current price is shown in the app. Purchases entitle you to all current and future Pro features at no extra cost for the lifetime of the app on your Apple ID's devices. Refunds are handled by Apple — see reportaproblem.apple.com.
During the public beta, all Pro features are provided free to beta testers. This is a beta benefit, not a permanent grant — Pro becomes a paid unlock for new users when the app launches publicly. Existing beta testers keep Pro free unless they delete the app and reinstall after launch.
Your content
Your scores, your stats, your avatar choice, the display name you pick — that's all yours. By using online multiplayer you grant Oche a limited licence to display this content to other players you choose to play with, to record match results, and to compute league standings. We don't claim any ownership over it.
Service availability
Local-play features work without our servers. Online multiplayer, career mode ladders, and cloud sync depend on services we maintain. We aim for 99% uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We don't owe you compensation for downtime, but we'll always try to communicate it.
Beta software
If you're using Oche through TestFlight, you're using pre-release software. It can crash, lose data, or behave unexpectedly. By being in the beta you accept that risk in exchange for early access. We strongly recommend keeping iCloud sync on during the beta.
Liability, in plain English
Oche is provided "as is". We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the app — for example, if a stats glitch costs you a side bet at the pub, that's not on us. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can't be excluded under UK consumer law.
Intellectual property
The Oche brand, name, wordmark, brand mark, app icon, copy, and original illustrations are property of Luis Montana. Open-source software included in the app is governed by its respective licences (the in-app Credits screen lists them).
Changes
We can update these terms. If we make a material change we'll notify you in-app and update the "last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer rules in your country require otherwise.
